On Saturday, October 27, 2012 I embarked on an 80-minute train ride from Reutlingen to Tübingen, Germany. While the journey was short, I was still able to have quite an adventure. The city of Tübingen is located in Baden-Württemberg, on a ridge between the Neckar and Ammer rivers. Tübingen is a traditional university town and about one in 10 people are students. My friends and I first walked around the city of Tübingen, taking in the different sights and shops of the city. We then decided to have a late lunch at a restaurant on the Neckar River. After lunch we went for ice cream and more exploring. We decided to stop and eat our ice cream in a park. When the sun started to set we decided to go on an evening Gondola ride along the river. The whole day was wonderful, and I am glad that we have such a great city, so close to Reutlingen.
